Atlanta – Ranked #1 for Rental Properties
So, what determines whether a city is good for rental properties? What factors do investors look at?
Economic factors. Investors look for signs of growth in the city’s economy. Areas that see a rise in corporations moving regional headquarters or branches are positively eye-catching. This leads to economic growth and an increase is job opportunities.
Increase in demand. If the economy is looking up, then the population is likely rising. When that happens? Right – there are more people looking for a place to live. Great growth opportunities for corporations lead to great growth opportunities for families and for landlords.
Entry price. Some markets have an entry price that just is not feasible for investors. However, those cities with a lower entry price can be a gold mine for investors looking to buy up potential rental properties.
Atlanta, Georgia boasts all of these characteristics.
CNBC recently ranked the top ten cities that are best for landlord investors with single-family rental properties. Guess who was proudly listed in the top spot? You got it – Atlanta! This shouldn’t come as a surprise. Atlanta is always finding its way in the ranks for various reasons – whether it’s for top cities for business growth, hottest college towns, or for the best sports teams!
Speaking of sports teams – according to CNBC, the Atlanta Falcons and the Atlanta Braves are both going to be building new stadiums and those projects alone will be bringing in tens of thousands of new jobs. Talk about a boost in Atlanta’s economy! It is the perfect city for investors – a cheap market to enter, the demand is high, and the job growth opportunities will bring even more renters to the area!
